iTunes is the default program for accessing and transferring music, photos and other files for Apple devices. Similarly to other Apple devices, iPod relies on iTunes for its file transferring and backup as the default. Using CopyTrans Manager
1.
Download and install CopyTrans Manager (full link in Resources). Launch the application when the installation process is complete.
2.
Connect the iPod to the computer by using the device’s USB cable. The songs currently stored on the device will appear on the screen.
3.
Open the folder containing the additional music files you want to sync to the iPod. Select your preferred songs and drag them to the track listing screen in CopyTrans Manager.
4.
Click the “Save Changes to iPod” button on the toolbar to sync the songs to the device.
Using MediaMonkey Standard
1.
Download and install MediaMonkey Standard (full link in Resources). Open the application when the installation process is complete. The program will scan your hard drive and import your music files automatically.

Click “Music” in the navigation pane and then double-click the “Artist and Album Artist” folder to view your music library.
4.
Select each song you want to transfer to the device.
5.
Click the “Send To” button on the toolbar and then choose the “iPod (Synchronize)” option to transfer the tracks automatically.
Using doubleTwist
1.
Download and install doubleTwist (full link in Resources). When the installation process is complete, launch the application. DoubleTwist will import your iTunes library automatically.
2.
Click the “Library” tab on the toolbar and select the “Add Files to Library” option to import music that is not included in your iTunes library.
4.
Click “Music” in the Library navigation pane and then click the “Details View” button to view all of the songs.
